I live and work in New York City, and I’ve always been passionate about languages and how we learn them. When I started this podcast two years ago, I didn’t know what would happen. I only had an idea to create a place where English learners could listen to interesting topics in clear, understandable English, perfect for intermediate learners. But I wasn’t sure if anyone would [00:01:00] actually listen. Today, I want to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has listened to my episodes. Thank you to listeners from all over the world, from Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. You choose to spend your time learning English with me, and that means everything.
When I look back at these two years, I think about all the topics we’ve covered together. We talked about American history and explored various landmarks. We discussed how Americans live, Why they move so often, how they celebrate, and what they eat. We visited places like New York City and the Grand Canyon. We even talked about unusual traditions and superstitions.
And there were episodes to help you learn English better. We discussed how to improve your reading skills, how to watch movies in English, and different ways to practice listening. [00:02:00] Each episode taught me something new, and I hope it taught you something as well.
But I learned something else over these 50 episodes. Language learning isn’t just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about connection. It’s about understanding a culture, a country, and the people who live there. Every time you listen, you are not just learning English. You are discovering something about the world just like I am.
